FAQ

After reading this page you will be able to: find the right first step for common questions and know when to open a feature page or contact support.

It is the identity credential for HuiAI extension features, shared by automation, voice, remote access, and public tunnels. Configure it in Settings -> Required Setup. See Tokens and Credentials.

Not for chat using only your own model API key. HuiAI features require the token and a successful setup check. See Required Setup.

Check the specific resource in Required Setup, then use the HuiAI purchase or replenishment entry shown there. Pricing and availability depend on the service. See Required Setup.

Q4: What happens when I move to another computer?

Section titled “Q4: What happens when I move to another computer?”

Install the app and configure credentials again. Migrate the session database using the supported backup method, and copy project files separately from their filesystem directory. See Projects and Sessions.

Q5: Who charges for HuiAI points and a personal API key?

Section titled “Q5: Who charges for HuiAI points and a personal API key?”

HuiAI models use HuiAI account resources. A personal API key incurs charges from its model provider. AIPC UP does not set third-party pricing. See Models and Providers.

Q6: Are an API key and HuiAI token the same?

Section titled “Q6: Are an API key and HuiAI token the same?”

No. An API key belongs to a model provider, while a HuiAI token belongs to HuiAI extension services. Do not place one in the other field. See Tokens and Credentials.

The prompt, context, and attachments needed for the current request may be sent to the selected provider. Check that provider’s data policy. See Data and Privacy.

Project files remain in the local filesystem directory you choose. Session records and app settings are in local application data and the local database. They are separate. See Projects and Sessions.

Q9: Does deleting a session delete project files?

Section titled “Q9: Does deleting a session delete project files?”

No. It removes the session record from the database and does not automatically remove project files from disk. See Projects and Sessions.

Use the page’s session export when available. Back up projects with filesystem copy or Git. Exit the app before copying its database and treat the backup as sensitive. See Projects and Sessions.

No. Model requests, HuiAI features, voice, updates, public tunnels, and some diagnostics may connect to the internet. See Data and Privacy.

Q12: Can automation do something unexpected?

Section titled “Q12: Can automation do something unexpected?”

It can produce results you did not intend, so absolute safety cannot be promised. Use read-only or plan modes, restrict permissions, and confirm before writes, commands, or sensitive actions. See Automation Assistant.

Use the Stop or Pause control in the interface first. If it does not respond, close the session or exit the app, and use the operating system to end the process when necessary. See Troubleshooting.

It can operate on accounts and pages available to the connected browser. Use a dedicated browser profile, never expose remote debugging publicly, and begin with a low-risk action. See Browser Automation.

The tunnel relies on a HuiAI relay, and a leaked link increases exposure. It is not an absolute security guarantee. Enable it only when needed, protect the token and URL, and disable it afterward. See Remote Access (WebUI).

LAN access requires both devices on the same network and a reachable desktop port. Public access also requires a valid token, tunnel state, and available quota. See Remote Access (WebUI).

A normal overwrite install does not target the session database or project files, but save work and back up important data first. Configuration and sessions remain in local app data. See Updates.

Check in Settings -> About -> Check for updates. Downloads use the official CDN first, with GitHub Release as a fallback. See Updates.

Q19: Are logs uploaded automatically when I report a problem?

Section titled “Q19: Are logs uploaded automatically when I report a problem?”

Diagnostic sending depends on actively submitting feedback and release configuration. Review logs before submission and provide only what troubleshooting needs. See Contact and Support.
