Install and Launch

After reading this page you will be able to: complete the installation on your own and confirm the app starts normally.

1. Download the Installer

• Windows: Download AIPC UP Setup <version>.exe (officially supported)
• macOS / Linux: Currently in development and coming soon!

2. Installation

Currently supported on Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit):

1. Double-click the downloaded AIPC UP Setup <version>.exe installer package.
2. If Windows SmartScreen displays “Windows protected your PC”, click More info then select Run anyway.
3. Follow the setup wizard to complete the installation and launch.

3. First launch

1. Open AIPC UP from the Start menu or desktop
2. On first launch a startup animation of about 3 seconds plays; this is normal
3. When it ends, the main window appears

Note

You can turn off the Startup Animation switch in Settings → System.

4. Know “Close to Tray”

Tip

With Close to Tray enabled in Settings → System, clicking the × on the main window only hides the window to the tray — it does not quit the app. To quit for real, right-click the tray icon and choose Quit.

What success looks like

• The main window opens and shows the chat interface
• The AIPC UP icon appears in the system tray (bottom-right of the Windows taskbar)
• After clicking ×, the tray icon remains and the app keeps running in the background
