Input Tips

After reading this page you will be able to: use @ and / commands to say exactly what you mean — faster than plain typing.

The hint under the input box reads: Type / for commands, @ to reference files, ↑/↓ for message history.

1. Basics

Enter sends, Shift+Enter adds a new line; the box grows taller as you type
Press ↑ / ↓ to recall messages you sent earlier, Esc to stop and restore your draft
Drag files or folders into the input box to import them; paste (Ctrl+V) screenshots or files the same way

The file is attached to your message as a reference and highlighted in the input; delete that piece of text and the attachment is withdrawn too.

Type / to open the “Commands” menu; type letters to fuzzy-filter, ↑/↓ to select, Enter to run or Tab to complete the name:

Agent commands	Provided by the current agent; varies by agent
Skill commands	Skills loaded into the chat are invokable as commands, marked “Skill”

While the AI is busy with a long job, type /btw plus a short question, for example:

/btw What does the second table in the report you generated mean?

The answer appears in a “Side Question” overlay above the input box; the main task keeps running in the background
Press Escape, Enter, or Space to dismiss the overlay
/btw answers only from what the conversation already contains — it cannot search the web or take attachments

Click the Add files button in the input box toolbar → Upload from device; the same menu also shows the MCP tools and skills loaded in this chat
Uploads go to a temporary location by default; turn on Settings → System → Save Uploads to Project Folder and new uploads land in the current project’s folder
File types an agent can’t handle natively are sent as file paths — the app tells you when that happens

A small ring sits next to the send button; hover it to see:

Context used: how many tokens are used; when the agent reports its window size, the ring shows the proportion
Session cost with a breakdown: Input, Output, Thinking, Cache read, Cache write

The fuller the ring, the longer the conversation. Once it’s nearly full the AI starts forgetting — start a new chat (or fork) to begin fresh.
